'It's not good enough'.
I want to stay humble enough to know that a perfect cup is an ideal, a dream that cannot be fully realized. I'm committed, though, to never stop trying. I will stay foolish enough not to listen to those who say, 'it's good enough'. I want to stay true to my values.
I believe coffee must be experienced, not merely consumed. I'm not interested in just selling you the product, but in making sure it changes your approach—appreciating every step and every hand that touched the beans before you can enjoy it. I want to share the knowledge of coffee and its preparation, so you can fully enjoy and, consequently, share it with others. I believe coffee is a great catalyst for human relationships.
The real treasure.
I love coffee. But I love people much more. This is why Black Fodder is also about loving justice. My heart is broken for those who don't have a voice, for the trafficked, the enslaved, the unseen, the oppressed, the victimized. Black Fodder is a dream to make a difference in this beautiful world, but at times so full of suffering.
Let's do something.
When you buy from me, you help. A part of my profit goes to organizations directly involved in changing lives. But you can also help by spreading the word, building awareness, galvanizing the troops, and perhaps getting your hands dirty by serving arm in arm with others. Here's our chance to do something.
